What has traffic been like? It appears likely that I won't get friday off and I work 12.5hr shifts so leaving after work is not an option... it would be saturday morning with a normal drive time of 3.5hrs from my house. I would love to do the fun run in the AM but depending on traffic we might not make it. I know google can show stuff but was wondering what you all have experienced coming from the North... thanks!

For those who may find themselves running late for the 11:00am Fun Run this Saturday, our first stop will be the Country Bakery which is only an 1/2 hour from the BBQ site, the bakery is located north of Harrisburg at 26615 Peoria Rd. We plan to depart the bakery around noon so this gives any late arrivers a chance to catch up to the group instead of waiting for their return.

Hoping Don & Sandi (and....????) will report in tonight. FPSG, DanR, and ???? going down tomorrow (Friday), so that'll be more current. Debbie says "Follow the Google." She's seen parts of Tacoma she didn't know existed, and always on time for meetings in Olympia.

Yo! Csp54.... . identify yourself, please.

We left at about 3:40pm. Took almost 3 hours to get past Seattle and Tacoma, which you don't need to deal with, Greg. Normal the rest of the way.

Tagged behind a 968 with radar detector from Centralia to Woodburn. Debbie was driving and said that was fun!

We made, all be it late and the last Roadster to show (4pm). I didn't study the map that closely, but had an idea of where to turn initially...
So before we turned down the main road, we went exploring a bit to see what the area looked like. Then on the way back I must have chosen the wrong road. Unknowingly, we start driving. Then after a short time we see a sign that says "event" and pointing onward... so, onward we went. "Wow, they really did some good signing for this, must be bigger than I thought" I said to my wife. Bwwaaaa bwwwwaaa bwaaa we blast along, nice road. More signs... " Humm, guess it was further out than I thought, sure is a pretty road though...". Then we get to a cute little town, Brownsville. More signs. Great roads. After a time we ended up in a huge gathering full of big lifted American trucks n stuff.... one with big but questionable flags running around mentioning guns, and for a second we're thinking "white supremacist meeting", nervously glancing at my dark tanned skin in a Japanese car... but it was a country music festival! "Ah honey, dont think those signs were really for the BBQ!". Once we got cell coverage again, we relied on technology and not Gregs brain to get us there... much better idea!
So, it was a short meet and greet for us, saw some friends, thanked the host for their great show, and before long it was time to motor back. Bummer is that the time was short. Great however was the road to Brownsville, so in all a successful and fun trip. I5 back was wide open and traveled at 80mph home, made it in 3.5hrs and slept in our own bed after a nice shower.
Thanks again to all who put on the show. Sorry we didn't get to meet up with everyone... next time well be there longer and earlier!

Even though it was brief, it was still great to see you, Greg. Besides, rumour has it there'll be another one next year!
