Roadster on Investgation Discovery Channel

Post by JohnnyMac »

There is a killer amongst us! Saw several seconds of this roadster in the "Shattered" episode of Diabolical on the ID channel (10am PST today). The killer drove it. Low windshield with '70 front fender, CA plate.

I think they are interchangeable albeit the flair is different and earlier have stainless trim shoot straight forward and do not stop like ours.

I'm not sure. There were only a couple blurry frames of the front, but it looks like a '70 to me. I was just happy to a roadster actually being driven.

Given that the fender at the windshield end is different, I suspect that the owner added the 70 fender markers (perhaps for safety reasons) rectangular markers being easier to find than tear drops - given that (AFAIK) low windshield cars had NO side markers at all - must have been a bit of a challenge to do the wiring.

JDM cars had teardrop side markers starting with the 65 1500s. Just more useless trivia...
