As some may know, I will be making another set of the Japco fiberglass body parts for Datsun Roadster.

These will be a high quality set, fresh out of the molds, made by Hanneman Fiberglass. Any who saw the car at Monterey know what we are producing. Molds were recently brought to the west coast.

This post is to see if anyone would be interested in having a set made now, while I will have the molds at the fiberglass shop. Since transporting the set of molds is kind of a nightmare, now would be a great time to get a spare set.

Finished set can be shipped by a palleted Gaylord, or the parts can be picked up.

Set includes 2 front fenders, 2 rear fenders, hood, trunk, air dam and windscreen. Windscreen does not include the lexan, but I can have that produced if needed. As I recall, the little Lexan window was $150, but would need to confirm that, I paid the fiberglass guy cash to have it made..lol

Front Fenders.....$265 each
Rear Fenders......$165 each
Windscreen.........$165
Hood...................$215
Trunk...................$215
Air Dam...............$190

Full kit.................$1600

would a hood and trunk lid be legal in D-Prod? Im guessing the wider fender flares wouldnt

You would have to check the rule book of whatever organization you plan to run with. I honestly have no idea..

Historically, DP cars did not run the wide flares. Many had fiberglass trunks/hoods, even fenders. EP cars ran the wide/Japco-style flares. Like Mike mentioned, best to check with your racing group.

Mike, can you tell us what the weight difference is between the metal and fiberglass for the hood and trunklid?

Beautiful, You can't use it on the road but I really like it.
Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall,torque is how far you take the wall with you.

I have not put it on the scale, but the hood is an easy one hand lift. Stock hood is not easy with 2 hands.

I have not produced the trunk before, but will be making one for the tribute car..

What is the rule of thumb? Every 10# removed is like adding 8 hp?

I don't think Kevin's gram scale he uses for engines is going to work..
