Re: Demand for reproduction Low Windshield cowl drain hose

So, I received my 1-1/8" silicon elbows and aluminum beaded couplers from China today and started mocking up a hose. It's a real beoch getting my hands in the firewall area with the SR20DET transplant in the way. But it looks like the original hose went down between the heater flow valve and the other heater core hose. It must have tucked behind the heater control valve cable. Then about a 45 deg over toward the passenger side of the tunnel, then about a 45 deg down. Is the clip on the face firewall of the side of the firewall facing the drivers side?

How about a pic of a firewall with clip on a car without motor.

Anyway - The silicon elbow approach is also reasonably viable. It fits through the grommet properly and is a tight fit on the spigot stub on the cowl

Curtis,

Are you sure those clips aren't for the brake lines or something else. Those clips seem way to high on the firewall to be able to catch the drain hose. I would have expected the clips to be very near the bottom. Am I smoking crack here??

Almost, if you look at the pictures from Richard you'll see that it goes over a bit before turning down to the clip.

Richard, Is there any way you can shoot a direct front and a direct side view picture of your hose. I can scale everything from there because I know the OD of the hose is 36.5MM

Those brackets support the throttle cable. Painted black in my picture. In addition you can see that the throttle linkage runs up that way.
