4-blade Fan Kits- Rare, Great Prices

Post by JT68 »

67 4-Blade fans are getting rare and expensive. Here are a few nice solutions:

These fit all 2L water pumps and 68-70 1600 water pumps with the fan clutch deleted.

Alternative 4-blade* with nylon spacer 125.00 (sold)
Alternative 4-blade* with beautiful CNC reproduction aluminum spacer 145.00 (both sold)

Original NOS 4-blade Nissan Fan with beautiful CNC reproduction aluminum spacer 265.00 - last one

Very Limited availability.

*the alternative fans have been previously run/bolted up on restorations, all are in very good condition, but are NLA new. An excellent solution if NOS is out of budget.

Alternative fans do not fit 66-early67 1600 water pumps.

maybe a silly question, but I currently have (what I believe is) a flex-a-lite 7-blade metal fan. Im assuming this is overkill, will replacing this help to reduce parasitic drag? I know its minimal but every little bit counts IMO

Honestly, the flex fan is likely fine if 'the Datsun original look" doesn't matter to you.I have several used SS flex fans available (cheap) since I used a few and decided I don't care for them. caution- they are very sharp (slice open your hand sharp)

These guys work fine, are quiet, and look totally roadster correct.

Simon's fan is massively heavy, like its made of depleted uranium, and really noisy. Its not a thin fan blade either, I'm not sure how much flex it actually has.

I temporarily installed a 7-blade while awaiting one from JT.

Can't comment on drag - but certainly NOISY!!!

It definitely is sharp, I got so many slices on my wrists when I was doing my alternator swap that people nearly starting fearing for my life, luckily the slices were against the tracks not with it
