Water Tube R16 and Heatshield

Post by JT68 »

Now available in STAINLESS STEEL so no rust ever...the rare R16 manifold water tube fits all years. Fits original heatshield perfectly.

This was a really hard part to reproduce! 110$

R-16 Heatshield available too!

Beautiful!!! :smt003

Will the heat shield be stainless as well? How about reinforcement where they always crack?

Very nice! Any plans to make the other version with the longer goose neck on the front?

I KNEW you would ask about the early version Sid! Yes, can do those for 25 more.

It isn't all that much more difficult, but because of the lengths the tubing comes in, I have to waste almost enough to make another complete tube to make the extended early style. :-(. The SS tubing is very expensive, but since plating won't protect the inside of the part and adds to the cost as well, SS is a better answer.

Yes, the heatshield will be reinforced/very sturdy! jt

Beautiful work - can't see the welds - thanks for doing this. I don't need one, but I know others will be grateful.

Thank you TopTech! I need to make a post about those pumps too.

These tubes are very nice, and I'll add to this thread some pictures of the heat shields.

Santa would be happy to send a twin pipe resonator. (Mike Young, Paul Wells and Ross all have them in stock too!)

Thanks again! jim

Also available now. Heavy gauge Stainless 1600 heat shield. I made these fairly simple to keep the cost down, but still provide an excellent quality CNC machined part. .060 SS so no additional reinforcements needed. Works perfectly with original or the new SS water tube. 80 ea. and they include the little brackets and fasteners for the tube. Water tube sold separately. Two in stock at the moment. Thanks! JT
