Mt. Hamilton Run?

Post by bengelhardt »

I've heard some rumors that there is going to be a roadster run to Mt. Hamilton (in CA) on November 15th. I've seen some details for a Central Valley contingent but nothing for anybody in the Bay Area.

Does anybody know if BADROC is going to be in attendance? If so, what time are they meeting and where?

Is anybody in the SF/Oakland/San Jose area plannning on going? I'm hoping to have my roadster back together in time to make the drive and I'd love some company.

I'm in Oakland. I'd love to caravan up with you guys. I can meet you in San Jose or Hayward. What time are you planning on leaving and from where?

I'm considering bringing the missus. Is this usually a guys only thing or can girls come?

I have my folks in town so will not make this years run. I doubt any of the other 311 skids will be going. Have fun-it is a great run.

I'd love to meet Francis in Hayward.

I've also made contact with a BADROCer in Fremont. He's not sure yet if his roadster is up for the drive but if it is, I'm hoping that we can all meet in Hayward and drive down from there.

Just let me know when and where we should meet.

Thanks for coordinating.

So, are we still on for Saturday? I keep checking the weather and it keeps getting worse (maybe I should stop checking.) Currently, weather.com is showing a 40% chance of showers. I'm all for going as long as it doesn't rain too hard.

I haven't heard anything from Francis yet. Have you?

Same here. I'm not holding my breath but if it looks promising when I get up I'll head down. If not, I'll just have to wait for the next event.

If I do head down, I'll give you a call on your cell # when I get close to the Alum Rock / Hamiliton Rd intersection.

I woke up this morning to the sound of rain so I didn't head down. I just checked the HamCam on top of mount hamilton and it looks like it's raining up there too. I know that I sound like a big sissy with all of this worry about rain but my top is missing one quarter window and the other one is on its way out so it's not even close to water-tight.

I'm really bummed that I wasn't able to make it. Hope that you all had fun. I'll just have to meet you at the next event.
