Dear Roadster Fans and attendees of the 2018 RMMR,
I'm passing this along in case you missed it. Important info for tickets/car corral/parade lap below.

I"M STOKED! And proud to be joining all of you!

Hello Datsun/Nissan Corral Drivers!

So many things to tell you! Your tickets are in the mail! Our corral space has changed! We have a schedule of paddock and corral events! We have the parade lap rules! Here we go!

1. Tickets. Unless you are in the Sacramento area or going to our car show tomorrow, your tickets went out today by insured Priority Mail with tracking, no signature required. Every envelope has a bar code. You should receive your admission tickets and corral pass by Tuesday unless you are in Canada where your tickets will arrive in 6-10 days. If you do not receive your tickets within those time frames, please let me know and we'll look up the tracking info. Note: you will not be receiving parade lap passes yet - see info in paragraph 4.

2. Corral Space and Maps. This past Wednesday the racetrack told us that we could have the island adjacent to the corral. The island has picnic tables and shade. We can park one or two groups of cars there but haven't decided which cars to put there yet. We have a map from Nissan that shows the island and our corral space. There is a path from the corral to the tire bridge over the racetrack to the paddock area where the Nissan tent will be. Courtesy of Gayle Brock, we have a paddock map showing the Nissan tent and where the BRE and Stillen shops will be located. Please note Datsun Row in the second row of the pits!

3. Paddock and Corral Events. Also courtesy of Gayle Brock, attached is a schedule so you'll know where Peter will be and when you can expect to see him visiting our corral. Note that Adam Carolla's podcast will be recorded from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday and directly after that, there will be a "Picnic in the Paddock" panel discusion from 1:10 to 1:35 p.m. with John Morton, Steve Millen and Peter Brock. Following that, Chris Cord and Sir Jackie Stewart will lead a remembrance of Dan Gurney.

4. Parade Lap. We have 125 cars signed up for the parade lap on Sunday. The rules are attached - pretty basic and common sense. There will be another waiver to sign before the parade lap on Sunday and you will need to present your current driver's license and insurance card for the vehicle you are driving. Only then will the track issue your Parade Lap Pass to go on the track. Yes, it's last minute, but there are security precautions that must be observed. Since there are 125 drivers, the sign-up procedure could take a bit of time. Be prepared to stand in line and be ready with your ID and insurance info.

5. Race Programs. Programs with Bill Patterson's beautiful artwork on the cover will be provided to you with your goody bags when you sign in at the corral. There is also an event plaque from the racetrack for you.

6. Overnight parking. We are not encouraging overnight parking and if you must leave your car in the corral, you do so at your own risk. The track has suggested that the island is the safest place to put your car. Please let us know if you would like to do that and there will be a space for you on the island at the end of the day. If you leave your car there, please get it back to its corral space early the next day. We are not responsible for taking care of your car if you choose to leave it at the racetrack.

7. The Corral List. The Datsun/Nissan Sports Car Corral has 149 cars signed up and we sold 187 admission tickets. There were a couple of group purchases and we don't have all of the car models in those groups yet, but here's what our corral is going to look like:

Skyline 7
Roadster 23
510 30
240Z 30
260Z 5
280Z 4
280ZX 2
300ZX (Z31) 0
300ZX (Z32) 16
350Z and G35 13
370Z and G37 6
GT-R 2

Please remember that all of us at Z Owners of Northern California are volunteers. We are doing our best to make sure you have a great time at the historic races. If there is anything that we can do to help you, please let me know.

Seriously good deal. If you have not been to Monterey during car week, it's seriously something not to miss. And those are incredible bargain prices for something within an hour of Monterey

Looking forward to seeing you Ted. This is indeed a great deal. My hotel room for 3 nights (Friday - Sunday) will be about $1200 with tax. Fortunately I'm splitting it with John Lorio.

The BEST ( in my book!) 64 1500 to be on display at the JAI

Motor Trend and Nissan organized the Japanese Automotive Invitational event at Monterey this year.
JAI highlights Japanese automotive achievement, innovation and design.
Only the best vehicles submitted for display were accepted.
DROPS and 311s member Tim Corcoran's beautiful 64 3 seat 1500 will be there to represent roadsters.

Heard a rumor that a certain black modified roadster from a "MR A" will also be at JAI,
but probably just "fake news"
I do not think Mr "A" even owns a black roadster any more. Seem that a "Becky" on the roadster Facebook page has it!
She knows all about it and and posts pictures of it. And she has all those young kids! How does she do that?
:D

Mike (Alvin).
What group are you racing in?
3B is for roadsters but heard that due to suspension changes you have to race in 5A? (240Z).
True?

Hello RMMR fans and attendees!
There are some exciting events planned for the race week and ZONC has put together a nice schedule of events so you don't miss a thing:
Image

Big news from Nissan (finally!), they will be hosting the Car Cast with Adam Carolla from their tent 8/25 at 12pm, debuting the Hino!

Image

Nissan will also be hosting a panel with BRE legends. Bring your gear to get autographs, there will be several opportunities for meet/signing.
Image

Lastly, our previously-roadster owning celebrity Randy Pobst spotted this 1500 in the paddock at the Pre-Reunion. Anyone know who the owner is? I spy it near the Dekon Monza, so I will find out Thursday!
Image

AMPED to see everyone there!
