The Mitty 4/27-29

Post by Alvin »

We are excited to attend The Mitty at Road Atlanta 4/27-29. Nissan is the featured marque!
https://www.themitty.com/

We will be running pit crew again for John Morton in the #46 BRE 240z.

There will be a strong Datsun showing on the track AND infield car corrals.

We hear that a large group of West Coast racing roadsters will be making the trek to Georgia :D

Same time as Solvang, but looks like a great show. Hope lots of Roadster owners get to go.

I am tenatively planning to be at the Mitty with mine.

I'm going to be there, though not with my car. But I have to make the journey to see roadster folks and John again in the BRE Z.

OK, it's 1 month away. Today my bride and I got weekend tickets to the Mitty along with a stay at the Quality Inn on Mundy Hill Rd in Oakwood. There will be at least 1 more from the Northeast, Dana Scribner from Ma., a DRONE member will be making the trip.
Alvin, do we sign up for a car corral now or drive around when we get there? We are looking forward to meeting more of you left coast folks. We made it to the 30th Shasta meet, met some great folks and had a blast. MapQuest makes it a 849 mile drive. Might be an easy drive for Ted, but I might need an assist getting out of the car. See you folks in a month.

Alvin,
Thanks for the quick reply. I did email Miles Wilson and hope to get a reply, which of course I will pass on. Also, I found and downloaded an on track schedule which included the statement, "an infield events schedule will be available soon". I bet that will also answer many questions, Getting closer, who's attending?

OK It's now 3 weeks to the Mitty. Dana got a reply from Miles Wilson. Sounds like the Datsun corral is the one to get into. No word yet on the track site about any infield activities. Any updates from you racer folks?

After today's e-mails, it sounds like I will be racing. Still would REALLY like an actual confirmation..lol

I understand the problem of making sure everyone gets in their group and has a spot to race. Fingers crossed..

I just read my email! Holy crap, I didn't mean to look rude! I must have held the enter key instead of the cap key. I can't type and look at the screen.

Sometime today the Mitty website posted the schedule for events held during the weekend, along with the on track schedule.

Still would love an actual confirmation..

But they charged the card.. I am pretty sure I am racing!
