As of now, I am planning to drive to Hollister on Thursday evening, and run down Friday with you all. Showers will not hurt a roadster, and if you can maintain 40mph you will stay dry..

I'm thinking leaving San Jose at 9:00. Anyone want to form a second procession...?
Where will you be leaving from?

Stacey, glad to see you made it!
It rained on us the entire way as well (via 101). Cleared up near Santa Maria and then it rained in Solvang!
Stoked to see everyone

I passed two 1600s just north of Camp Roberts this afternoon, a silver one and and a red one. I waved to both but only the driver in the silver one noticed me. I was in the black BMW E30 M3. A few of those rain squalls were out of control. I am really glad I did not bring my car down as it would have been really wet, and downright terrifying.

I did not see any roadsters on the way home today up 101 mostly. but I did hear several people in Lompoc, Santa Maria, and Salinas say Nice Datsun or look a Datsun! those are the only places I stopped. And a few people waived on 101 and a couple Miatas on route 1 gave me the thumbs up as they passed while we all waited on some backed up traffic.

Seems everyone likes the Datsun roadsters!

a pic from Solvang just before we left the street. mine is the third roadster, second white one on the middle. they were both 1970 white , with red interior 2000s, almost twins.
