JCCS Registration Today!

Post by bakerjf »

Registration for JCCS 2015 (9/19) opened today. Due to overwhelming interest, last year the organizers had to close registration after only a few weeks causing many people to miss out. Only 9 or 10 Roadsters were there last year - it would be nice to see a stronger turnout this time around.

Registration is $50, and for the first time they are requiring pictures as part of the registration process. The quality of cars has improved dramatically from year to year, and the organizers appear to be making sure that this should be the best show ever.

This is the Super Bowl of Japanese Classic Car Shows! It is held annually in Long Beach, California alongside the Queen Mary. Don't procrastinate - register now!

I'm registered. No roadster, but a bright green Subaru. Won't be able to miss it LOL.

This beast is why I did not go to Solvang/Shasta this year. Been a 6 year project (parts are a PAIN) and wanted to make sure I finished it for JCCS this year.

I am fly down early Saturday morning to attend. I have never been to Long Beach, so just going to wander about. Going to check out the Queen Mary - Ghost Tour after the car show.

Fun day!

It seems that the judging is on a cycle at JCCS; last year was all about the stock cars, this year was about the modified set..

Congrats to Bart Desirello for best Datsun roadster, and Karen Desirello for 2nd Datsun roadster. I didn't hear who got 3rd? The silver 2 liter?

Great seeing old friends, meeting new, and enjoying the show..

The silver car did take third.

Btw, stock cars are still doing well - after all, mine won JCCS Best of Show today. Yay for the Datsun Roadster prevailing over all the other makes. Yay for me.

Nice a roadster got best of show, especially with all the quality cars there. Also good for Bart and Karen for their awards. My little Subaru got 1st in class ( beat out Garms sambar, which surprised me as his little truck is very nice) and also got the JNC award.

Congrats John! Your car is awesome and one of my favorites.

By the way, got the Toshiba headlights and new Datsun badges installed. Would have went to the show, but I had a full free day to work on my Z (wife out of town). The paint looks amazing.
