Okanagan Rides May 15-17

A bunch of Vancouver area roadster nuts will be in the Okanagan May 15-17 exercising our cars and keeping our co-pilots happy. Everyone is welcome to join us for the daily run of back roads, vistas, watering holes and a BBQ Saturday afternoon. The program will be very informal, no prizes, no registration fees, no schedule and hopefully, no breakdowns or rescues required! Note: No planned runs will involve gravel roads, so if you find yourself on gravel, following a roadster, you're lost and have chosen the wrong guy to lead! This never happens! There should be opportunity for a brisk run up or down Westside Rd and a couple of other challenging roads too.

The intent this year is to sustain the interest of those who have attended previous years Matsuri events in Kelowna and wish to see it continue in some form. I expect attendees from WA, OR and possibly AB.

The BBQ will be at our summer house on Okanagan Lake, west side, about 1/2 hour north of West Kelowna or 1/2 hour south west of Vernon. Nearby accommodation is limited to a few lakeside campgrounds and resorts. If you plan to attend or want more info, contact me at gcuthber@telus.net or 604 928 6753. I am hoping to convince my 4 year old that she should spend her 5th birthday in Kelowna... If I convince her, her mother will fall like a house of cards...

Visitors Ted! Visitors! We visit each other across a near imaginary line. Foreigners come across a lot of water, from countries with too much history, speak English differently or not at all, and play a different version of football. Some build and drive really nice exotic cars which we refer to as foreign.

Okanagan drive 5-16-15. About 250 miles.
Drove West to Kamloops and up to Sun Peaks ski resort.
Garth provided a fantastic BBQ dinner ( the women did all the work! THANKS!). We had 9 roadsters present!.
