The 2015 Midwest Z Heritage event will be hosted by the Windy City Z Club on June 12-14th in Lisle, Illinois at The Hyatt of Lisle.

The event schedule includes a Friday night welcome party, a Saturday Car Show and a Z Car Rally around the Chicago suburbs. For blues lovers, the Chicago Blues Festival will be in Grant Park on this weekend. There will be plenty to do and the details will be available on the show website in the near future.

Hotel registration is now open at The Hyatt of Lisle on Chicago’s west side at the fantastic rate of $95. per night.

Yep. I think that is the "heritage" part! Ha. There will be a "non" Z category that welcomes Roadsters, G's and GTR's, etc. This event rotates between Chicago, Cleveland and Columbus, OH, and Indy. At the Indy show in 2013 we featured two beautiful roadsters and a GTR as the "Welcome" committee at registration. And you do not need to be a member of a club.

The Saturday car show will be held at The Promenade Bolingbrook. This outdoor mall venue is close to the host hotel and features several shops and restaurants of interest.

Never pass up a chance at a brewery. Have you been to the new brewery? It is beautiful.
On a hill top, overlooking some of the best driving roads in the state.
Can't wait for spring and a little rain to wash all that salt off the roads....

I have not! But I have been on the driving roads, and played golf at the nearby course. I haven't been through there in about 5 years, since I sold my home in Verona.
I really liked that Brewery, along with the Capitol Brewery as well!

That settles it. Register for the Midwest Heritage, and we'll take the long way to the brewery.
Then to Capital, Ale Asylum, Karbun4, etc etc etc.

I have been on a Windy City Z run to New Glarus...but I thought it was all about the scenery, I had no idea they had beer in Wisconsin.

Scenery: that blurry stuff on the way to beer.

Although, if done right, the roads in the area require your full attention as to not wind up in a pen with the Holsteins. One of my favorite routes has 3 nice hills for some negative g's, but it comes with a warning. Immediately after the last (and best) hill, there is a very sharp left turn. Don't want to over-run that one. Plus the occasional Holstein in the road...

Beer is only for the after drive. When the real driving tales begin.

I've been to the Minhas brewery in Monroe, Wi, but not New Glarus yet. Spotted Cow and Fat Squirrel are two of my favorite beers, though. I make sure to stop and pick some up everytime I drive through on my way to Minnesota.

Do you have any idea of how many roadsters will be at the get together? I'm wondering if I should drive over from Toledo area.

Usually, we have 2 or 3 at this event. I checked just now with the registration chairman and at the moment we do not have ANY! He would love to have some Roadsters show up to be part of the "Heritage". So drive on over and ask some friends to join you. Chicago has beer too.

I am planning to go, but I haven't registered yet. Still trying to decide how it fits in my work schedule etc.
I think we'll certainly be there at least on Saturday.
