I'm back! The mighty Denso Demon, borrowed from my good friend Damnit Bill and his wife Two-shoes Kim, got there and back in one piece, exhaust leak and sheared off alternator bolt and all!

Had a great time catching up again, re-meeting old friends, attaching faces to names and avatars on 311s, and just shooting the shit in the parking lots with beer, tequila, and other such enhancers (after all the driving was done of course!).

Dave Premo and the gang did an excellent job, especially the first time out. I didn't get to do the poker run as we were fixing the afore mentioned sheared alt bolt (who knew there was a full blown hot rod shop in Shasta?). The feedback I got was "a bit much for our cars" so maybe a more leisurely local tour may be better. I managed to get a drive in to McCloud, which is an old town just 9miles or so up the roads, where they were having their own hot rod and classic car show, so that could be one stop of interest (some cool old buildings there).

I thought the food was great, plentiful, and there were lots of raffle prizes (not that I won any, but thanks to all who contributed!).

I expect that next year will be that much better. Having it in town brought out many locals and others who had the usual Roadster experience stories, and the local businesses probably appreciated the foot traffic.

I'll certainly be there, with my own car too!
