I have a dorkball cheapo phone, but here's an idea.
9am start means 9am drivers meeting, which means 9:20 start. I'll text Linda when we leave, and she can pass on the round robin.

(nice volunteering you for that, eh?)
If not, email mee and wI'll text a few of you'se.

So my estimate is arrival at Palmdale blvd AM/PM (1 block west of 14) about 90 minutes later, maybe 2 hours depnding on whether the way out includes Lake Hughes / Francisquito / Spunky Canyon, etc.

Then 60 minutes to Gorman/Fraz Park. If you are at the main gas station in Gorman (chevron, to the right (east) of 5, you will see folks start to come by, we either re-gas there or at the base of Gorman School Road, which is the main intersection in Fraz PArk. (just west of 5, you knwo the place)

Happy Roadstering!

OK, let's synchronize our watches! Looking forward to this. Might even be some Fall colors up in Frazier Park :)

Linda- Send/PM me your cell number. If you have an iphone or smartphone, I can send you via WAZE our realtime location that you can see on a map and our ETA in Gorman. Even if you have antiquated technology like Fergus, you'll still get our real-time ETA.

Not antiquated, "vintage". :)
If there is poor cell reception in Frazier Park I will look for WiFi and use VOIP(Talkatone)

Here is the Day 1 and Day 2 route sheet. It seems my prediction of Palmadale gas was, of course, not correct.
Taking 2 all the way near wrightwood this time, but we never miss Pine Canyon (off Lake Eliz Road), and Cerro Noroeste is always in there somewhere.

hope to see any and all.

Hope The Place is better than you described it previously, Fergus:
That is an excellent route Mike, 2nd half of Day one of the SoCalTT.
The Place is a complete mess. I'd recommend going the 15-20 miles south. turn on Lockwood canyon, then 2-3 miles of the road is Rodriguez Family burger joint, you go in off the main road ~ 1 mile, shady place to park, and lots of bikers (the nice type)
Much better food and much better service.
The Place can taqke 2 hours to get you a bowl of soup,. I kid you not.

This was so much fun and I finally got to meet Ferg, Adam and Peter H. (who's car is out order) and their cars (except Peter's of course), and another roadster guy...the one with the perfect red paint and luggage rack, I forgot his name. I only went for the kick off. I didn't do any of the drive.

Here are some photos of the cars I saw which reminded me of the great car around as I was a kid. There were more but they were parked up the streets and I didn't get shots of them all.

Thanks for the invite! Next year I will go on the ride.

Adam, Fergus etc,
Sorry I missed you guys. I was at Frazier Park at 11, waited til 1145 then figured I missed you all. Took off and stopped at The Place, 115P. The ownsr said no cars had arrived so I knew I was ahead of you. I
left around 130 P. Now in Ojai 335P . Really fun drive! Not much gas between Frazier Park and Ojai, gas up. Heading to Santa Paula on 150. Gotta find a bathroom though. LOL

It was a nice splendid day for a drive. I though overlooked the gas refueling stops and had to double back to get some, by then most drivers were well on their way. Got to Gorman then called it a day. Still nice to see all the classics and they all drove nice. I gotta say Fergus, you really know how to push that U20 to it's potential! Hope all went well today for everyone there without incident.

Clip of chasing Fergus, we wern't pushing it yet.

Obviously didn't take Eliza, but met the group at Chango. Tad said biggest ever TT turnout.
Was fortunate to score a ride from Mark in his black Lotus Elite, which, since he lives in Echo Park - made perfect sense for a day trip.n He drives seriously FAST, as Victor did and we had a lot of fun. Elk burger at The Place (first time I have EVER been in the 1st car to stop for Lunch)
Came back via 33 and 126.
FUN
Til next year.

Wow! what a great turnout. Some very cool cars. Quite a scene when all the cars left from Chango's on the way to the freeway. Saw Peter, Fergus, Adam and Greg(I am the other guy with the red car and luggage rack). Perfect weather for a top down drive. I left with the group and bailed at Angeles Crest. Nice to see that Peter hitched a ride.
