2011 Mt Shasta Registration Info

Post by mkiisupra »

Good day, Roadster folks!

Here are .pdf files of the 2011 Mt Shasta Datsun Roadster Meet. This year's dates are July 8 & 9, with activities starting Thursday night for early-birds, including 2 runs/coast on Friday, and the show/banquet on Saturday. There are other activities as well during the weekend.

The first and second pages of the registration form are the list of activities and the Show 'n Shine registration information/guidelines. The third page is the actual registration. To register for the show, print this last page out, fill in your information, and then send the payment and completed registration form to the address shown at the bottom of the registration form.

Enjoy,

Tees are done, hot out of the oven! Available at the show, first come, first serve. I may be able to make a few more when I get home, we didn't scrap the screens yet. Photo is of back/front of shirt. Subtle this year, save the big gun designs/colors for 30/35th annual-type events.

Shirt color is 'ice gray' or 'stone', Inks are fire red, dark gray, and black. All sizes, but limited numbers at show. Polos on 'heather/light gray' which is fine, but I prefer the other tee color.

Pricing TBD at show. Will post if second order is happening.

Enjoy, hope to see you at the show!

There was a nice turn out. Wish I could have stayed a little longer. But had to get back home to the Kids (dogs). My American Eskimo is almost totally blind now and she likes to bump into things. The white stuff in the back ground is Mt. Shasta. Just a drive some of us went on. Met some nice people there that werent there last year.

Post Bump for final T-shirt order for 2011 Shasta Datsun Roadster Meet.

I still have a few tees and polos. I will place the last order of shirts on FRIDAY, JULY 15. Please have your order to me in a PM or email to mkiisupra@hotmail.com I need to know size, and whether you want a tee-shirt, polo, or ladies tank top. Sizing is true, especially with the tanks, all items are preshrunk, quality cotton. If you don't specify, a tee shirt will be ordered. I will post a pic of the polo and tank later today.

Image

Cost is shipped to your address. $20 for tee, $25 for polo, and $15 for tank tops. Paypal is preferred, email/pm to plead your case if paypal is the devil to you, paypal address is mkiisupra@hotmail.com

I enjoyed the show immensely once again this year, and although my camera went 'missing' the weekend before Shasta, I will put up what photos I have with my phone's camera. Album located at http://www.pbase.com/egillis/2011_mt_shasta Some selections...

Let's call them Datsun stripes!

That car belongs to Mitch and Sylvia Jensen from Vancouver, BC. It is a SR20DE powered beauty that Spriso Motorsports did the power train swap, and Mitch finished the rest of the car-- it is beautiful!

The car is powered by a brand-new, zero mile, S15 SR20DE engine, and has had the works done to it-- flat dash conversion (metric KM Classic Instruments speedo), our big brake kit, etc. and Mitch is proud to point out that everything works. It is a stunning example. They stopped by just before Shasta to show it off, and it is awesome-- I am very proud of Mitch for all the hard work he did on the car.

On their way out of town, Eric Straw, Mitch, Sylvie and myself did a little detour to stop by Jack Scoville Nissan to see Jack and show him the car-- it is in identical colors and stripes (hence the term Datsun stripes, NOT BRE stripes above) to show him the roadster. It was an emotional visit as the memories of seeing a car in similar livery to his race car (which he won the 1969 national championship with) was sitting right there before him. We had a great visit, and sent Mitch and Sylvie on their way to Shasta...

I will dig up my photos of our visit and post them on this thread.

Here are a couple shots of the car. I will start a build thread for Mitch soon as he gave me a CD with 178 photos of the build.

Wow, I'm loving Mitch's new car. He has quite a remarkable collection of Datsuns.

That is fantastic! Can't wait for more pix - both of Mitch's build and from Shasta.

I am kicking myself - I lived in the Bay Area for 6 years and I never made it to Shasta. And I lived in San Diego for 18 years and never made it to Solvang!!! Argh.
