I know that some of you have period license plates on your cars - I've been looking at some, but haven't gotten one yet. In my searching, I came across a website that recreates license plates, and they apparently look pretty authentic. I wonder if they would pass muster with the MVA and I could put 'em on my car, with custom letters...

No one at MVA will ever know unless they are lighter than the original because they do look at them. You need to have the historic plates inthe trunk and pay $5 to have the YOM ones attached to the registration.
I remember when no one wanted the 1500s......
