Work EQUIP 01 and 03 Pictures!

Post by Alvin »

I was fortunate enough to test fit these wheels on my roadster with Eddie's (XEDDEX) help. We took LOTS of pics.
I was really impressed with the 01s look and fitment, I think it's the black spoke trim that makes it come together. The front wheels are perfect, very flush and just right imho. The rears have a deeper dish and it looks killer. I also like how the spokes frame the caliper:

(2) 15x7 +7mm

Equip 03
(2) 15x7 +22mm (2" lip)
(2) 15x7.5 +4mm (3.25" lip)
We tried two of the fronts on this side as the rear wheel didn't have a tire mounted...it would take some fender rolling or flares to fit these on a stock roadster. The lip on the rears is absolutley GORGEOUS!

After seeing them bolting up on Alvin's car, I'm almost having seller's remorse.

Wow they both look great! I'm surprised that a 15x7.5 +4 fits in the rear.

I vote for the 01's the bright polished against the black is perfect. They are SO much more unique than the Panasports, and just aggressive enough.
Bob had put stockers on the 66, sent a photo, I HAD to make him put the Shelbys back on, it changed the look too much.

All right - it's finally time for an update. The wheels have surfaced on my '69 :-) I bought these from Eddie thanks to the mouth watering photos Alvin posted (as well as the legwork making sure of fitment), and thanks to Virgil who bought my Panasports for his beautiful 240z :-)

Here are the photos:

It took me a while to get the photos posted because it took a while to get everything sorted the way I like it. I needed to install longer studs on the front to accommodate the wheel spacers. I started w/ 8mm spacers, but ended up having to go to 10mm in order to get the center caps to fit. That gives me a 10mm offset up front which clears fine.

In the rear, I decided I needed to paint my brake drums black so that they "disappear" behind the wheels. What do you think? The wheels are only +7mm in the rear and the passengers side tire rubbed a bit at first (195's), but it was "on the way up" so I didn't worry about it too much. It's stopped now.

I'm tremendously happy with the wheels. I LOVE that huge polished lip on the rears.

Cheers

Ya, I think I fell in love with those 01's. Hate to be a copy cat but what ya gonna do? I can imagine they are some $$. Saw that Maxxim made a knock off but I don't see them for sale anywhere and I suppose they are not the same quality. Someone want to pm me a price or dealer. Don't recall if alvin's guy had a contact number or website?

Hi Greg,

I checked out the cost to buy new wheels at one point and it was a lot! The dealer I checked with was upgrademotoring.com but I'm sure there are others.

There are Work 01 fakes now too but not in 4 x 114.3mm
