Oh the needle bearing Jaws for a slide hammer come to mind ...seemed like he wants a like new steering system though and the column is a part of it

How do you pull needle bearings ? ......Linda

There's also the tie rod end socket with a long flanged bolt and 90 % bent end screwdriver to trap the catch bolt through the socket method if you have room
