Carb Differences

Post by dads311 »

Hey all, I was out looking at my carbs today trying to find out for sure which nozzles I needed to order and I found the linkage on the front carb was loose.

No problem I say to myself and go grab a wrench. Just as it snugged up it loosened up again. Oh no it's stripped and is why it was coming loose. So I trek out to the parts storage and I find another pair of carbs but I am pretty sure they are for a later 1600 and one doesn't even have the rod that goes down to the nozzle.
So my question is what is or is their a difference between an early and later carb?
As always thanks for input
