Odd wiring issue

New Curtis wiring harness installed, everything worked as it should for a few short test drives. Today, blinkers don't work, only the right brake light works and only if blinker lever in neutral position, and Hazards and "B" light work just fine. Really odd. Have not done much digging yet, but did test fuse box and brake pedal switch for power. What am I missing here??? Anyone familiar with the system want to guess where things are failing? I would think only common denominator is in the center console, but not sure how.

Have a wee look at the ground cable which should be screwed to the rear chassis rail on the LHS of the car.
Make sure it has a good connection

Check to be sure everything is plugged in well under the dash. As well the connectors on driver side at the firewall near the flashers.
These two I believe are important:

zip ties for any white connector shells that get loose can help

Without running to look at my papers I can't remember if this was the 68 or 69.

My guess is 69. Make sure none of the terminals have backed out of the connectors. I pull on every one after I put them in.

If it was all working then my guess is the turn or hazard switch. 69 are fussy and get gummed up. The connections in the hazard switch are numerous and the turn isn't much better.

And as noted the rear ground. And make sure the flasher can hasn't failed. No LEDs right?

Yep, car is a 69. No LED's. Taillights and reverse lights both brightly lit. Hazards work. Only seems to be affecting brake and turn lights. And it is not the bulbs as the right brake light will work if the turn signals are not on. Turn on the turn signals and that one brake light goes out. Weird. I have had the radio console in and out, so I definitely think it could be related to the hazard switch, I just don't fully understand how.
Anyways, and as always appreciate the responses. Just looking for a place to start when I get a chance to tinker.

Looks like the problem was in the hazard switch. Took all the connectors apart, put all back together and we have lights. Glad it was simple. And...car drove to town for its maiden voyage! Sure drives nice....pretty much a new car at this point so it oughta!

Well done!
If your switches are old they can be very dirty inside causing intermittent problems.
Get a good quality contact cleaner and flush them out to improve reliability.
None of my switches functioned at all when I went to use them
I used this stuff and it flushed out a heap of black crap and all switches work wonderfully well now
