Early Round Shift Knob Install Question
Has anyone installed an original 'early' round shift knob with the hard rubber interior versus threads before? Finally attempting to install a knob I received from Dann at Rallye several years ago and it doesn't seem to go on the shift rod no matter how hard I press or turn. Any help or experience would be appreciated. I am not sure if I have an early or a late shift rod, or if there is a difference in diameter. Threads (SAE vs metric) wouldn't matter as I believe Nissan made the rubber interior to fit any thread. Thanks. Appreciated.

Re: Early Round Shift Knob Install Question
Could the lever have been replaced?
I went to install a shift knob on mine I had ordered earlier and it was way to small to fit
I checked the thread pattern on the rod and realized it’s a 3/8-16 which definitely is not from a Roadster so had to order another knob
