Firewall Repair

Post by bradleygt »

Hello,
I have a broken section around the clutch slave cylinder mount/firewall on a 66 Datsun 1600. I thought I would see if there was a fix already out there before I fab a piece to weld into place. Any input is greatly appreciated. Attached are a few pictures of the area.
Thanks Brad

Very common break. There is not a repair part, for this, welding should do. There is however a "Brake brace" that can prevent this from happening again, several vendors carry this, it is a bolt on bracket. Check out the Vendor Links section for a choice of vendors that have this.
"When all else fails, force prevails!" Ummm, we're gonna need a bigger hammer here.
