Testing blower on a 1967

Post by joe fremeau »

HI All , Recently I purchased a heater blower on line, it does not work when plugged into the wire from the heater core.Is there a way of attaching the blower wire to the positive side of the car battery to see if it turns Thanks

Have you verified that the heater plug is getting power? It's possible that your switch is bad or you may have a broken wire or poor connection.
To answer your question; yes, you can run 12 v to the motor. If you haven't already, look in the WIKI for a wiring diagram for your car. Connect according to the diagram and it should turn.

Yup, 12v to the motor and ground to the case.
