Choke cable attachment to carb

Post by Ted928 »

Does the choke cable sheathing have a positive attachment to the carb? Mine are not retained so operating the choke can cause the cable sheathing to pop out of the retainer so releasing the choke does not fully raise the nozzle since the cable' sheathing has moved. Should I post a picture?

No, there is no positive attachment. You can retrofit choke cable clamps from a Z though.

Thanks. Now that you mention it I remember my 71' Z having clamps.
