5 speed transmission mount
I have been attempting to replace the transmission mount in a 1969 2000 and I am starting to think it is physically impossible to do so. Has anyone accomplished this feat and if so do you have any tips that might help?

Re: 5 speed transmission mount
Unless I'm missing something, it should be a matter of removing 8 bolts. The mount itself attaches to the frame via 6 bolts, and two larger bolts and nuts attach the mount to the trans. When the bolts are out the trans will rest on the frame.

Re: 5 speed transmission mount
you are correct 6 bolt hold the cross member to the frame and 2 hold the mount to the transmission, but there is little to no room to manipulate the bolts into the transmission. It sucks! But I have a plan.

There should be two nuts (17mm) that you remove to allow the main part of the trans mount to be completely removed Then there's two bolts that bolt the rubber mount to the trans.
