Differential Gasket problem

So I bought a differential gasket that says for all years, but I go to put it on and it's way to big. Do I still have the oem rear axle?

Thoughts?

Don't know for sure, 1500s have a wider axle and might be smaller also.
Maybe a R160. Measure your ring gear diameter.

the ring gear is 6.75 in

Yes, the 1500 diff is the smaller diff - the gasket fits all 1600s and 2000s.

Don't know the answer to your question, but just a fyi, I've never used a gasket there on my h190s and h165s, just rtv, never had leaks...

That's an option. I'd like to use a gasket. We'll see what Dean says.
