Told ya! But seriously glad it's all sorted now. Ethanol does not like to sit much past 60 days in my opinion.

A random thought, modern computer controlled engines can adjust for $hitty gas and the driver may not even know, unless it's really bad. Carburetors are a lot more sensitive to it...as you have experienced. If clear gas (non ethanol) is available I would use it and chaulk it up the the mantra of "you got to pay to play"

I had some wet fuel a month ago , it has no power
At the storage pot ( it is kept in a open top pot not a closed tank, with a lid that floats on it and can hold 5-6"
Of water on top of it ) so if it gets hit by lightning it goes up but doesnt become a bomb
One did that here yrs ago burnt up 400,000 gals

enjoy the ride . it's a great car . I've had bad gas within a month b4 . have you looked into your tank yet ? from the hole in the trunk you can see into the tank nicely . check to see - if there's water or in my case a big band of goo that would shed down little flakes clogging up my system a little or all the way . being told by mechanic tank was cleaned I didn't look until 6 months later after hours and hours of heartache and frustration . it's nice to look and Know if its clean or not . it can get very frustrating and can return . this gas today makes clogging flakes quickly .
