My issue was simply that the outer housing which is the grounding assembly was not making good contact with the bottom of the console. Make sure the lighter is screwed tightly to the console!

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.
