These Solex carbs just showed up on Ebay.
Solex/Carb GURUS, what is going on with all the extra piping?

Nitrous + fuel injection. Looks similar to +100 HP systems

Sean "captain Canada" Kirk ran a NOS system on his Roadster quite successfully for a number of years. It was well done with proper mods to handle the output (Nitros Nell was her name as I recall). But I think that was running newer Mikuni carbs than those. Car was pretty fast.

And what's up with the velocity stacks? Can't see very clear on my iPad, but looks like they have jets, or maybe screws in them. At any rate it's another opportunity for someone to pick up a solex set. I bet it would clean up pretty good.

They look pretty old and Knackered, and for the price must be gold plated, I sold a set of Qs same as those less the manifold and piping for $450 aus..
