Eliminating Door Rattles

The rattling of the rods inside the door from the door lock and door release (against the window glass and the door itself) was driving me crazy. A fix that worked great for me was picking up some small diameter vacuum hose, then cutting pieces to length for each rod, slicing them from end to end then slipping them over the metal rods. I suspect when the car was new, like others I've seen, it may have had cloth sleeves that slipped over the rods but the rubber hose solved my problem perfectly. Silence is golden
