part nr. starter

Post by augsburger »

Does anyone have a part nr. for a Mitsubishi short gear reduction starter for a 70 SPL. Would like to go buy one if possible as opposed to waiting on it to be shipped. Thanks in advance.
I haven't felt like that since 7th grade...

Never would have thought to look under forklift starters Simon. Thanks again. Which Mitsubishi starter is the short one?

Easier install. More clearance from header.

They also have more torque. I’ve had no issues with mine. Probably have 3 original style laying around that are good.

@cktrap....but do reduction gear starters come in a short? Most appear to be "long" starters.

I think that they look longer than they are since the body is smaller in diameter than the OEM unit.
