Help! How to shrink soft top.

Post by Tom310s »

It was a very dewie night last night and I came out, this morning to find a neighbours cat sitting on my soft top! And not where the frame is, but between the last pole and the windscreen! After I proceeded to kick its ass, and chase it to see where it lives (so I can send the owner the bill if it's not repairable) it has sagged down / stretched about 3 inches, which the dew then started to run and pool, and we are expecting rain, so for now I have put a board over the frame and windscreen, but what can I do, anything.. nothing... Please help! And thanks in advance.

there should be some knobs on the rear 'strut' that you can adjust.

And, FWIW, no one is responsible for cat behaviour - that's why they are not licensable. Both the law, and cats themselves, don't believe anyone owns them!

I'm thinking a 20 mile run at 100mph with the windows down ought to pop that sag right out of there! Seriously, it will most likely tighten back up on the next warm sunny day. Maybe take a hair dryer to it if your not going to see the sun for awhile.

Cold usually shrinks the top.

 Cats DGAF about anyone

so, the polar opposite of this... I have a tonneau cover that just doesnt seem to be big enough, do I need to let it sit out in the warm SoCal sun?
