stranded alone help please ..

hey . I'm in the middle of nowhere and I blew my oil pan nut . no oil or nut . is there anything I can steal from the motor or somewhere that's the same fit ?? help pls if anyone's up ...

oh at a gas station that's closed .. this isn't cool . on my way to San Bernardino .. stuck and it's cold .. haha shoot

tried the gear oil bolt, . too big . seat bolt , too small .. no luck . going to a friend's house for the night in Santa Barbara .. hit car quest in the morning .. anyone know the thread and size of the bolt I'd appreciate the size so I can buy one tomorrow.. bummer deal .

Sorry you had that issue and got stranded. Do you have any idea why the bolt came out? Was it loose and vibrated out or was it stripped and fell out? If it was stripped you’re gonna have to get a helicoil type kit. Sorry I don’t know the bolt size.

The drain plug? Or mounting bolt/nut?
all the oil gone?
If so a good parts store is needed they make a universal rubber plug best of luck in your attempt to fix

I don't know . I didn't even touch the oil but it's definitely wasn't stripped . . bummer... ok well I've got to go find it somewhere . it was still draining when I pulled off and stopped so it's probably right B4 the exit ..

Oh wow! Sorry that happened to you at such a terrible hour too. Also did you find out if it was the drain plug or one of the oil pan bolts?

If its the drain plug they make a rubber one that fits by stretching for temp service , or if stripped threads

I am hoping you just changed the oil and forgot to tighten the bolt, not that it stripped.
Anyway AAA is good for situations like this if you have the 100 mile tow.

no not stripped Linda . thank goodness.. I woke up and went to O'Riley and grabbed 2 wrong ones then went back , traded for two next size smaller and nailed it with a 14 mm .. whoOhOo .. car drove great besides the oil thing .. great .. first road trip since the distributor
and carb fix..
