Re: Removing Bezels from Gauges
I’m all about DIY, but there are some things on Roadsters that really demand the skills of someone farther along the learning curve than you. IMO, gauges is one.

What I am hearing is give them to Jon to sort and spend the money. Good advice I will take, thanks

Re: Removing Bezels from Gauges
+1 for sending them to Jon Frampton. I sent my 67.5 1600 tach to him to get fixed. Looks great! He also can restore the gauges too for a great price. I'm glad I live extremely close to his shop. Also he (and the staff) are very nice and don't make you feel rushed or unimportant.
EDIT: Oh and also before I sent the tach to him I actually tried the DIY approach. I literally disassembled every piece of my tach (you can see pics on my "member's ride)... but the piece that was broken was a spring like piece that I simply could not repair without professional help. Oh.. and I broke my glass on accident while removing it - and I am extremely careful/delicate so it may be best just to leave it to the pros

Re: Removing Bezels from Gauges
There may always be alternatives to do anything, BUT,
Swapping to sr20 -kevin
Redoing dash pads -just dashes
sorting gauges - jon
general mechanics-skip in Pasadena
All of the above are superlatively qualified and dedicated to delivering what they say.
Shortcuttimg on ANY aspect of our cars, unless you have TOTAL faith on anyone, then go with the dedicated pros.
Our little cars are not that complicated, but at times you need an expert.

Re: Removing Bezels from Gauges
I too had Jon do my gauges. Wow, indeed, serious porn.
