If I remember correctly, the carpet was mounted directly onto the floor. Does padding or sound/heat insulation help enough to justify its existence?

Being a big Chip Foose fan, I gave my car the complete dynamat treatment when I initially restored it. I think it works great, makes the car seem more solid/substantial and less tinny. It’s heavy, but worth it IMO. I attached the carpet directly over it without the padding...

Is there anything else thats needed besides a carpet kit itself? Anything belong underneath it or needed to hold it in place?
Here's a thought. I used to drive a Jaguar that had a tan interior. It had brown carpet. It looked great

Wow, the manufacturers are passing on some serious increases. $290 just two years later. Or is jute pad now included? I'm seeing single piece kits on-line with higher end options like, extra plush, mass backing.......Wondering how hard that would be to install?

The carpet we sell has jute pad installed. We have sold this patterned kit for 17 years now. There is a fastener kit that you can add on to be able to un snap and remove the carpet if it were to get wet.

Right hand drive versions are listed in the interior section.

I have bought most all my parts to do my resto from Datsunparts.com. I have been pleased with everything I have bought and I am picky. Just sayin.

The increase is $55 in 2 years and these are US made kits, made from an original pattern. Look at what other parts have climbed to in price over 2 years or look at the prices of the cars in just 2 years, then you can be surprised.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up having the upholstery shop that refoamed my seats put wool carpet in the car.
