Posted this question in the quick/small/stupid question thread but figured I'd bring it out since it's not so quick anymore and wanted to get a couple more eyes on this.
My soft top cover (67.5) came with these loops on both sides. These loops don't seem to serve any function. In talking to the manufacturers, they said these loops existed only in the early cars and were removed for the later cars. My question is, did the stock soft tops for early cars come with this loops? If so, what are they for?
Just to clarify, these are not the loops that cover the hinges on the inside, these loops are on the outside, between the 2 rain gutters.
