Others should be able to help. I have been running FJ20 engines for the past decade or two and don't have any current information.
My newest car has a U20, so I am starting to gather information.

Ralley enterprises has, what I believe to be, the best selection of gaskets for your engine. a complete rebuild set with header gasket is $262.
part # 101-02H
You may want to go that rout rather than trying to peace together what you think you might need. With a full kit you will know you have all of the gaskets you need.

lorna

exactly what are you intending to replace?

head gasket?

manifold (header/intake gasket) ?

head gasket is pretty intolerant of any deviations from FLAT

manifold, not same pressure, more tolerant, but you should be able to torque down - starting from inside with no problem, or use copper gasket additive - though difficult to remove

no not head gasket , the one for the header/intake spot . the one I have is holding fine , but told it may blow because it's one for a manifold not header or something like that. just to have one on hand ... I can't tell the difference between them.. but this one may hold , but may not .. it's a gooood gasket too so I hope it holds .. I'm only trying to learn ..

Lorna ,
Look at the Remflex gasket pic you posted.
Now look at the pic for gasket part 1287
on datsunparts.com site.
Keep staring at the pics til you can see the difference. It's there.
