SP311 ground cable

Post by J Adank »

I am assembling a Fair lady SP311 1600. I need a picture or a diagram of where all the leads on the ground strap attach. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks Joe

Joe,
Don't know if anyone has schematics for your year but on later models
negative post to chassis and engine block
chassis to engine block (typically from under the VR
Alternator to chassis
starter to chassis
there's a ground for the rear lights loom

that's all i can think of

Thanks guys for the help it’s a start I’m going to post some pics if the OEM ground cable and see if it looks Familiar to anybody if I could just glance at the original car it would be simple. I have the car basically all together. But the OEM ground cable in hand I don’t know where to locate the leads The pictures of the ground locations help a bunch

Battery ground post goes to the engine block and a small diameter cable to the under battery location on chassis.
Starter mount bolt to the starter location on chassis.
Rear loom to rear location on chassis.
Front loom to front location on chassis

The original battery negative cable with 4 terminals connect to the engine block, large terminal to alternator mount, small terminals to alternator ground, one of the screws that hold on the voltage regulator and to the frame.
66 stroker, almost done.
67 basket case, paint coming soon.
