Thanks Steve! I have always gone by “using the force” but someone else mentioned a torque spec and I thought it couldn’t be correct and then I started researching and saw that torque spec and my world turned upside down haha

Cars off the floor jacks now, just need to get get the swaybar buttoned up. The end points are quite tight with the new bushings

Do the ends first then the middle.

Speaking of sway bar mounting....Peter, you're suggesting the ends first and then the middle brackets...is this with the car frame on jacks, and A-arms unloaded & drooping?...or with the A-arms partially loaded with jacks or stands, or what ?....I'm very comfortable with wrenching, but putting the sway bar back gave me a real struggle when I was installing my new front Bilstein shocks. I didn't find any info in the WIKI, so I'd really appreciate anyone's input on the sway bar install.

Thanks Peter, I will do it that way. I figured I had it backwards!...

I did this with the car on the ground, as I believe its supposed to be installed this way

Okay-I give up. Where did you see the torque setting for front wheel bearings? All I see is good advice and no torque settings.

tighten until snug then back off 1/8 turn or until cotter pin fits. I usually just snug it up and back off until you can put the cotter pin in place

Can't find exploded views of the brake master and the clutch master. Can anyone provide links? Looked in Clymer, service manual and parts catalogue. Probably missed them. Little help?
I haven't felt like that since 7th grade...

For those who have separated the body from the frame using an engine hoist, did you use a 2 ton or can you get away with using a 1 ton? I know the 1 ton can handle the weight, but will the arm be able to be extended far enough?

I have not.
In some cases the boom extension is labeled, 1/2 ton, 1 ton, 1.5 ton. Usually there is one beyond those that is labeled; DO NOT lift beyong this point. From photos, it looks like it doesnt need to be dangerously extended.
Not sure if the boom is rated or the ram.

Okay, I'm just going to get a 2 ton today.

Also, is a gsl-se axle with all brake components worth picking up for $150 if the 3rd member is the only thing missing? Can a 3rd member be sourced easily? Maybe from a different car?

Okay, but where would I get a 3rd member? And is there any way to tell if it really is from a gsl-se and not just a gsl?
