Tape the hood at the two bottom points before you tap it off to keep the trim from scratching the hood

Does anyone know the bolt size for the seat belts where they attach at the wheel arches on the package shelf. I lost the bolts and am finishing installing the seat belts.
Thx

They are 7/16-20 x 7/8" long. They have a large head, see pic. These are an extra set I have if you need them, pm me. Pat

I discovered 7/16-20 when I had time to search the archives.
Got a couple bolts from Home Depot. I figure the 2 I lost might turn up.....
Thx anyway Pat :)

Hey all,

Anyone know if the seat track studs can be replaced? I just yanked my seats out to redo the foams and covers and I’ve found some issues that I need to fix (two broken studs and a couple others that look to have been cross threaded multiple times). I suppose I could knock the old ones out and just weld anything else in there that I feel like as long as it doesn’t interfere with seat movement. Thoughts?

Matt, I did exactly what you are thinking of. Just a couple of tacks is all you need. It was a while back and my memory just goes back a very limited time, but I may of ground the bolt heads down some.

Any suggested brands & part numbers ... ether to shy away from ... or have worked really well?

I’m disassembling the e-brake and would appreciate any tips on removing the black handgrip from the metal arm. Thanks in advance!

I believe it just slides on and off. I've never noticed any adhesive used.

Question about the fuel-line return on a 1970 1600 (This was an emissions car).
How likely is for this line to be use? I believe it was designed to carry extra gas that was left un-burn on the cabs back to the gas tank.
I pull the gas tank down and notice the inside of the line was dirty and clogged with really old gas residue.
Should I take the time to clean it?
Any advice greatly appreciate it.

I’ll give that a try. It’s hard-stuck on there right now.

You might try a hair dryer on the plastic to see if it will soften enough to break its grip. I would be reluctant to use a heat gun though.
