Seat Belt Help (I searched first)

Post by Dat4fun »

So I did a search and there is a thread that answers this question but the photos are no longer valid.

Anyways I have a 66 and just got seat belts as it didn't come with the car. Problem is the entire floor is covered in dynamat. So I don't know where I should look for the mounting holes, the type of bolts needed and so fourth.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here are some pics of the anchor locations in my '65, yours should be the same: -

You should be able to find the captive nuts for all anchors looking under the car.
Poke a scribe or a nail through the holes and then cut around the location from inside the cabin

I know this is an old post, but seeing the bolt hole locations saved me a bunch of time. I was able to get my belts installed quickly and take my son out for a ride this morning. Thanks :)

I recently found out that the lap belts work pretty good.

Think there is also a hole for a shoulder strap in the rear wheel well on the parcel shelf.

Finding Correct Knobs for 70 1600

Post by mraitch »

A) Are all these knobs correct for a 70 1600 - pls confirm or negate.
B) Does anyone have pix of the rest of the correct knobs - i.e. a picture of a 70 dash pad - I have SO many knobs and no way of identifying which are correct.

thanks

Pete

Where did you find belts? My roadster came with a mismatched pair for a Z car and they look and act like garbage. Thanks in advance!

SSnake Oyl looks to have some nice stuff, about the same price as Amazon, so why not use a "real" car vendor.

you can find floor holes, by poking around from the bottom.

the other holes are on the wheel wells - same procedure.
