Stroked r16 w 1500 crank?

Post by notoldnfat »

Anyone ever used a 1500 crank in a 1600? I was just wondering what the 3 bolt main guys are doing....seems to me I recall that the 3 bolt bottom end is still pretty darn tough and there's more oil to go around. Just a thought. Thoughts, ideas?

It has been done and you end up with about an 1800cc stroker. The issue is that the 1500 cranks and rods are getting hard to find...

Original Post "As well as the main and rod bearings too!" I stand corrected as the 5 main bearings will work in a three main motor.
