Headlights

I remember seeing a special wiring diagram from someone who wired up some new headlights. I would like to add some Halogen headlights 55W and was wondering what you would do to ensure that you don't burn out the harness? Anyone remember that diagram?

A real safe way to go is to buy a fog light relay that is rated for continous use above the range of what you are wanting to run. Follow the directions they provide and pull a fused line directly from the battery or starter as your +12V. If you can find a relay with a high/low capability just pull lines from the existing lights. If not, you will need two relays, one for the low beams, one for the high beams. Again, your "signal" wire to the relay is just the old headlight feed....
