Is it weird that I find those pictures incredibly sexy?
Awesome looking job James!

I can't believe I missed checking out the frame at the shop with you yesterday, James.

Unbelievable.

HI James the frame and parts look great.Did you cover the vin number on the frame so it didn't get blasted and powder coated over. This could make it hard to read.
When I powder coated the frame on #00440 I left a small area were the vin was and brushed some clear over the numbers.

Hi Arnold,

I don't know how he did it but the VIN number on the frame came out GREAT. I did ask him to be very careful with it.

Cheers
James

Very nice. I remember when mine looked like that. 4000 miles later, and I have a lot of cleaning to do. I really hope you drive that thing. It would be a shame to do all that work just to look at it. These babies need to be driven!

I think that's the beauty of powdercoating/plating everything...if it gets grimey you can just take a rag to it and it looks new!

Glad you are happy. Looks great. Powder Coaters put smiles on peoples faces and great looking coverage on metal. Support your local powder coater. 8)

Very Nice work. How much it cost you to sandblast and powdercoat the frame?

Thanks everyone. It was under $2,000 to get the frame completely disassembled, cleaned and blasted, and resassembled with new grade 8 fasteners.

The bodyshop got the body blasted and I took some photos of it - but haven't been able to post since I've been in Africa.

Cheers

And now back on topic, here are some pictures of the body after a light sandblasting and spray w/ some kind of treatment (something-phor???)

Cheers
