James,
What is the starter bolt mod? Looks like a regular bolt...

Alvin:

The stock resonator+piping+megaphone is tiny. I am going to go w/ a bigger pipe and a "tubular" resonator. I picked up a vintage MEGS megaphone from Datsun65 which is better suited to a bigger pipe size.

Cheers

Gentlemen (and ladies) we have more progress!

I just got these photos from the body shop yesterday - he is finally starting primer/sealer on the body. He also painted a sample panel with my chosen color for customer approval of the paint. I like it :-)

Hopefully have more pix soon.

Cheers

Alvin: yes, my 64 is Sora blue too.

I could change my mind on 275 if someone has a really compelling photo. It was originally 666 Silver. I have already had the seats done w/ red covers - which kind of limits my choices too.

Thoughts?

I love Sora blue.....but a silver with red interior is classic....... a Porsche tradition as well so you would be in good company.
Will trade guitars for roadsters, food, shelter, clothes, etc, etc.

Time for an update on 275 - now that 132 is finished. Now I can devote some more time to riding the body shop owner. He's had the shell for THREE YEARS!

I decided the car will be Sora blue w/ black interior and seats. The red seats went to a worthy owner who put them to good use.

The body is supposed to be done by the end of March - but we'll see. He has all the panels back on and has finished most of the rear of the car. he also finally sealed the rest and has done a great job straightening the drivers side inner fender where it had collision damage. Here's a picture.

I should be getting my rebuilt carbs and parts back from Dave Premo this week. They look amazing! I have some original Type II carbs in storage - but these later carbs are so much lighter and work SO MUCH better than the early ones, due to the homogeneous circuit.

So - hopefully I'll have some garage space soon and will get 275 back in the shop and put back together.

Cheers
James
