OK, I was just making sure because I've only seen the 2-into-1 brass manifold used on the non-vented Volvo calipers. I thought maybe you were trying to use those later calipers on the OEM rotors.
I see. I was aware of the vented/ non-calipers, and was under the impression both could be used with solid and vented rotors. Not true?

Not clear on what you are asking, but there are 2 variations of the "volvo" swap.

1 - stock roadster unvented rotors (reduced in diameter slightly) with early Volvo calipers.

2 - modified Altima vented rotors with later Volvo calipers.

The vented rotors are much wider and need a caliper that will fit!

Sorry if it's taboo to post to a thread this old, but it popped up while I was searching for the Altima brake thread. lol I thought I'd add a bit of info in case anyone else comes across this. If there's a better place to post this, please point me to it.

The best caliper is the '92 Volvo 240 w/ABS. It only has one inlet, so no manifolds, drilling or crazy tubing is required.

I've also posted more info about the caliper options on a page on my site.

I know your blog post clarifies but those are for the vented rotor. I think there was discussion in this thread for both vented and non vented so I just mention this here in case anyone didn’t understand the difference.

If you are looking to simplify the number of connections, you can cross drill the calipers which will allow brake fluid to feed from one side to another (as most calipers do).
I researched the process (not unusual for Jags) and cross drilled the Volvo calipers on our '69. they work just fine and are single line hook up. I did some research and found a written page but Mike has made a nice Youtube video with a lot of good info.

These look to be the same caliper as the non vented with 2 exceptions.

1 - They have been cross drilled at the factory. 2- they have spacers between the 2 halves of the frame to allow for the added thickness of the vented rotor.
Remove the spacer and they should be the same caliper but pre cross drilled. In will order a set and let you know.......

I'll restate a comment I made on some other thread about the Volvo calipers. When I received mine they looked like they had been dropped in shipping and one of the bolts was broken. I replaced all of the bolts with grade 8 bolts!

As long as we're beating horses....

I used the brass manifold and had problems with leaks.

Finally found these for the cure.
