I have an early 1967 1600. I read a post where the early cars used positive grounds. In other words everything backwards. Should I be using this method because as for now, my "standard wiring is heating up pretty bad.
Ive recently put together the 4 Guage Ground to the alternator with the leads to the engine and body. Haven't installed it yet,
Im about to install this system.

I've never heard of a 67 with positive ground.
Think the last positive grounds were 1500s.
These date before 66.
