Re: diff identification
Count the number of splines in the spider gears. Count the teeth on the ring gear and look for some marking on the carrier next to the ring gear.

Re: diff identification
I checked it out. It says 35:8 hp 4.4 on the ring gear. 23 splines, i think. LOM.52 xxx on the case. H190? Lsd or open? How do you tell the difference?

It's a posi H-190 carrier, very dangerous, I'll give you $100 to take it off your hands!

Re: diff identification
Thanks for the info. I was looking on Gordon's website but didn't see that info. So its a 4.375 ratio. I also have the aluminum pumpkin as well. What do you think is a ballpark value for this? Do you think this ratio is okay for street use?

Re: diff identification
A 4.3 rear end is a little short for the street. With my 4.11 I'm turning close to 5K on the freeway in the fast lane. It would be good for Laguna Seca howeverroadstermike wrote:Thanks for the info. As for value, hard to say. I think it would depend on the condition once cleaned up. How are the clutch disks inside?

Re: diff identification
I dont have a clue on the condition of the clutch disks inside. Is this easy to check out or do I need to take it to a specialist? Can the ring gear be changed out for a 3.7 or 3.9 ratio gear? If you can swap out the gear, are they even possible to find?

Re: diff identification
The gears should be easy enough to swap. To see the clutch disks, I'd take it to someone who can rebuild LSDs. A 3.9 LSD would be sweet on the street.
