Fuel Tank Mounting

Hi,
I am planning on mounting the fuel tank from its original position onto the chassis.
Unfortunately at this time I only have the bare chassis in my shed.
Does anyone have any pictures of where to mount the fuel tank straps to the chassis at the forward and aft ends?

Just happened to be under my 67.5 this last weekend changing trans. & diff. fluid. noticed gas tank straps were held in place with a J shaped bolt/hook with the hook end placed in hole in frame and other end threaded to attach to strap. Sorry no pictures at this time. Terry Z

The floor pans tend to crack from the weight of the tank. A preventative solution is to drill a hole in the rear frame rail and mount them there.

Forward is fine - attached to frame - no need to mess with - aft - just drill two holes that line up - insert j-hooks and crank away. The straps will no longer follow the contour of the tank at the rear (so it takes so me initial 'pulling' to stretch them) - but it makes no difference ultimately
Also a good time to replace the "webbing" between strap/tank - I used canvas (sort of original) but you need something between straps and tank to minimize abrasion.

Sorry just noticed this post, this is how I mounted mine, there are already threaded hole in the rear member I used, left front mounts as they were, did this about 6yrs ago Just made up the brackets..
